Procedure
Botox for Migraine or Spasticity
BOTOX (onabotulinumtoxinA) is FDA-approved for the prevention of chronic migraine headaches and is also used to treat various other pain conditions. BOTOX works by blocking the release of chemicals involved in pain transmission, effectively reducing the frequency and severity of chronic pain episodes.
For chronic migraine, BOTOX is injected into specific head and neck muscles approximately every 12 weeks. It can also be used for conditions like cervical dystonia, muscle spasticity, and myofascial pain. Our physicians have extensive experience with BOTOX therapy for pain management.
